Highlights of various Programs and Projects

DIT Series -eDIALOGUES

Disruptive Innovations and Technologies (DIT) Series is a flagship program of TECHFARM Hub. eDIALOGUES is a tailored online based component of DIT Series which brings together experts, professionals and learners to an invigorating discussion platform to promote disruptive knowledge, skills, technologies, resources and the Future of Work.

Beginning from February 2021, eDIALOGUES will resume and shared across all TECHFARM Hub social media platforms. Read more from our Eureka Maker Space page.  

DIT Series - eSKILLS 

Disruptive Innovations and Technologies (DIT) Series is a flagship program of TECHFARM Hub. eSKILLS is a tailored hydrid training component of DIT Series which targets identified members of professional groups, coalitions, cooperatives.

Begining from March 2021, eSKILLS seeks to promote disruptive knowledge, skills and technologies as well as Enterpreneurship Busniess Development Services to empower target participants and help them prudently adjust, adopt and utilise digital tools. Read more from our Eureka Maker Space page.  

Digital Academy Program (DAP) 

Our passionate-focus is to inspire a renewed young generation of digital citizens at various Primary, Junior/ Senior High Schools and Tertiary education institutions and prepare them to be useful contributors in the Future of Work.

From March 2021, TECHFARM Hub will be engaging with students, teachers and key stakeholders in the education sector to promote courses in; Robotics, Coding, Digital Literacy, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Responsible Digital Citizenship and eLearning tools. Read more on our Eureka Maker Space.  

PWDs- Relief and Recovery Support Program (PWDs-RRSP) 

PWDs-RRSP is a unique program tailored to support Persons With Disabilities acquire applicable and essential enterpreneurship, digital and agribusiness skills training to boost alternative job creation, income genetration and welbeing.

Beginning from April 2021, PWDs-RSSP will also seek to provide benefiticiaries with Business Development Services, Incubation and Acceleration as well as Investment Match-making opportunities to help them improve their lives and livelihoods. Read more on Eureka Maker Space page.   

FARM Hive

TECHFARM Hub through our GreenHouse and Mushroom Centers uses our FARM Hive tailored skills training activities to pursue our core objectives of bringing to the doorsteps of our target groups marketable and profitable opportunities in Agritech Innovations and Prototyping, GreenHouse Farming and Management, Mushroom Cropping and Management as well as Agribusiness Development Services.

Digital Academy - eClubs 

TECHFARM Hub will establish campus eClubs to maintain a consistent long term engagements with target young people in various Primary, Junior/ Senior High Schools and Tertiaries.

From July 2021, students, teachers and selected key stakeholders in the education sector will be engaged to support the formation of these eClubs. They will be formed out of initial DAP activities. Read more from our Eureka Maker Space page.  

Digital Academy Summit 

The month of October 2021, will host the maiden Digital Academy Summit which is a digital stakeholders engagement bringing together experts, professionals, trainers and students and key stakeholders in Education in the Eastern Region of Ghana to build suportive networks and appretiate Future of Work opportunities in Robotics, Coding, Digital Literacy, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Responsible Digital Citizenship and eLearning tools. SDG Innovation Challenge

The SDG Innovation Challenge is a virtual ideathon for motivated young people from across Africa to come together in developing practical solution ideas for challenges faced in their local communities at the grassroots level.

Designed as an online hackathon-style environment, the SDG Innovation Challenge leverages Design Thinking, Social Innovation and Global Citizenship as a guiding framework for interaction towards prototyping novel solutions that advance SDGs - Goal 3 (Good Health and Well Being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure). Three winning teams emerged from the event had the opportunity to showcase their solution idea during the 3rd African Youth SDGs Summit.

The SDG Innovation Challenge is a collaboration between Melton Foundation, GrassrRoots Hub, TECHFARM Hub and Youth Advocates Ghana (YAG) and other supporting organisations. Preparations are ongoing to host the 2nd Edition of the SDG Innovation Challenge in 2021.

Digital Farmers' Program 

Our Digital Farmers' Program seeks to proactively engage sector stakeholders and partners to proactively stimulate innovative solutions to resolve some of the key concerns identified in the recent Ghana Agriculture Census Report. It will introduce tailored advocacy, sensitization and training to support smallholder farmers, Farm Based Organisations and Agripreneurs to generate participation. 

Digital Farmers' Exhibition 

During the 2021 Farmers Day celebration TECHFARM Hub together with project sector partners and stakeholders will host the maiden Digital Farmers' Exhibition to boost Agri-Tech and Agribusiness innovative solutions, technologies, funding and networking opportunities especially in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
